Report on the UNESCO mission to the Industrial Heritage Information Centre

Three mission experts appointed by UNESCO reviewed the information provided at the Industrial Heritage Information Centre(IHIC) in Japan from 7 to 9 June 2021. the mission observed the interpretation strategy as implement at the IHIC barely dealt with the darker side of Japan's industrial heritage, forced labor issue. Therefore, the mission concluded the IHIC has not yet fully implemented the undertakings mad by Japan at the time of inscription, or the decision of the World Heritage Committee both at the time of inscription and subsequently.
